Full Description

{1} The building consists of two storeys and is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with lime mortar. It has a gabled M shaped roof which leads to a gabled roof on a projection towards the east; the roof is clad with red clay pantiles and ridges. The south elevation has five entrances located throughout at ground level, each is fitted with a wooden frame and lintel and hung with planked and ledged doors on iron strap hinges, the fittings are traditional latches. At the upper storey there is an entrance in each gable of the roof, both are identical in design to those below, whilst there is a small oblong window located in the west gable which is also fitted with a wooden frame but retains no glass. The remaining elevations have no openings, the north elevation forms part of the boundary to The Nook, the east elevation faces part of the site area, whilst the west elevation is only visible from the neighbouring
property to the west.

The building probably dates to the second half of the 19th century. Planning permission had been granted for its demolition.
