Full Description

{1} A ditch and two possible pits were found during trial trench evaluation in 2015. None of the features were visible on an earlier geophysical survey. Pottery included some very small sherds of Roman pottery and handmade sherds of late Iron Age and Roman pottery. None of the pottery was very closely dateable. Three small fragments of animal bone were also found.

The features and finds are considered to be too few to indicate the presence of a settlement in the immediate vicinity but at least indicate some activity in a wider landscape setting.
