Summary

A three storey leather warehouse on the north side of Abington Street. This seven bay warehouse is constructed mainly from brick with a slate covered pitched roof. The date 1897, on a plaque over a doorway, probably indicates when it was constructed. The former WC Henderson Leather Warehouse. Locally listed building.

Full Description

{1} The former WC Henderson leather warehouse, dating from 1897, stands on the north side of Abington Street, with a return elevation facing Albert Place to the west. It consists of two distinct elements, differentiated by roofing material as well as degree of elabration. The southern portion, occupied principally by offices, consists of three storeys and an attic, and has a multi-gabled roof with plain tiles. It is elaborately detailed on the south front. To the rear a contemporary seven-bay warehouse extends along Albert Place.
