Summary
A four storey boot and shoe factory located on the corner of Pytchley Street and Ecton Street. This rectangular plan factory is constructed of brick with slate covered pitched roofs. Ordnance Survey and other maps, suggest that it was built c.1880. In 1877 listed as George Woods, boot and shoe manufacturer

Full Description
{1} L-plan boot and shoe factory on the corner of Pytchley Street and Ecton Street. The front range is gabled north-south with a five bay west elevation to Pytchley Street; the gable facing Ecton Street also has five bays, which the rear range extends to eleven in total. Both elevations are of pier and panel construction and the detailed is consistent, but map and directory evidence indicate that the front range was built by 1877, while the rear range was added between 1883 and 1899.
