Full Description

{1} A mid to late 19th century cart shed was recorded prior to its proposed conversion to a meeting room and workshop. Coursed limestone, faced internally with red brick, with brick detailing around the arches and windows. The bricks forming the jambs of the arches and windows were all bull-nosed. The ground floor was accessed from the north via four carriage arches. The internal stair leading to the first floor was at the east end of the room. The floor was beaten earth.
The first floor was an open plan space which had been subdivided into two smaller tack rooms at the western end. There was a row of raised, enclosed chicken coops along the south wall.

{2} It is possible that this was a cart shed/granary combination, with at least some of the structures on the first floor being the remains of grain bins.
