Full Description

{1} An assemblage of pottery was recovered during the excavation of two test pits to the rear of 12 Church Lane. No archaeological features were identified during the investigation- the pottery was recovered from fairly undifferentiated layers. A single sherd of Roman shelly was recovered, as well as two sherds of St Neots Ware. The bulk of the medieval assemblage dated to the 15th and 16th centuries, with common earlier pottery rare.
