Full Description

{1} Analysis, plan & photographs.

Extended two-bay single storey cottage built in stone. The cooking hearth at the southern end has been removed at ground floor level. A brick flue has been inserted in the north gable wall to serve a small parlour hearth at that end. The whole of the front of the building has been faced in brick and a second storey added. The bricks used are relatively small, hand made, and show diagonal drying patterns from the hack.
The line of the chimney breast may indicate the original gable end.
