Full Description
{1} The house, which was undergoing extensive renovations at the time of survey consists of two bays, parallel to the lane, with extension to the south end and a large modern extension to the rear. The present entrance is in the first part of the new extension. The two bays on the ground floor have a continuous and very rough spine beam, with an inglenook fireplace in the northern bay set against the rear wall. The fire lintel is also roughly made with a waney edge to the front. The only evidence for an early origin lies in the external northern gable. Steep verge lines suggests a single storey cottage, perhaps narrower than present, with a gable stack of old bricks.
The only evidence for an early origin lies in the external northern gable.
