Full Description

{1} Geophysical survey has identified three ditched enclosures, all occupying a ridge of high ground in the south of the development area. As the location of the enclosures can be closely related to a Roman pottery findspot it is reasonable to suggest that they may be of Roman date. The survey results also suggest the presence of a ring ditch, perhaps of prehistoric date, but the evidence for this is very slight and equivocal.
