Full Description

{1} Analysis & plan. Two storeys, two bays with a rear wing, also of 1 and a half to 2 bays. The main entrance is to the easter bay, against the line of the former cross partition which has been removed. The eastern bay has a stone inglenook fireplace set against the front wall and it has a rather mutilated fire beam with the remains of an ogee and nick chamfer stop. A spine beam runs through both bays, also much mutilated, and supported on a modern post at the centre.

Central roof truss has heavy principal rafters, undiminished and pegged at the apex. The roof construction is typical 17th century construction, a date augmented by the remains of the chamfer stops on the ground floor fireplace.
