Full Description
{1} Archaeological observation of the excavation of foundation trenches for two dwellings identified a short length of coursed limestone rubble wall foundation situated on the southern boundary of the site. It had been truncated by a small pit of probable late 17th or 18th century date. The wall possibly represents a dividing wall between burgage plots, or else is the wall of a building which stood on the boundary.
The southern and western parts of the site had been significantly disturbed in the 19th and 20th centuries, most notably by a large pit, probably a stone quarry.
