Full Description
{1} The construction date of the lodge is unknown but it is depicted in this location on early 19th century maps. It was evidently demolished some time prior to 1885. The Ordnance Survey map of that year depicts nothing except a well where the building once stood. The well is still extant. Geophysical survey identified a marked increase in magnetic 'noise', a typical signature of a demolished building. No individual elements of the former building were clearly resolved by the survey.
