Full Description

[1} Two gullies were observed crossing Trench 1, positioned approximately 25m apart. They were aligned broadly N-S, and were sealed by the subsoil. No finds were recovered from either of these features and it is not possible to date them. It seems most likely that they functioned as drainage ditches, feeding water downhill to the southwest (following the natural topography of the area), and they were associated with earlier agricultural activity.
