Summary

Fieldwalking survey identified a significant concentration of Iron Age pottery. Subsequent archaeological investigation has identified a dense cluster of archaeological features dating to the Iron Age/Romano-British period.

Full Description

{1} SP 92978331. Three clusters of Iron Age pottery dating between the 1st century BC and the early 1st century AD were found during fieldwalking survey. Total of 245 sherds. A linear earthwork bank, aligned north-south, was also along the eastern edge of the pottery scatter.

{2} Geophysical survey identified a dense cluster of archaeological features, although only those on the western side of the field boundary were investigated and only one trenches was excavated due to ecological concerns and the presence of a nearby electrical cable. Two linear features and
