Summary

Fieldwalking survey identified a scatter of Saxon pottery. A small excavation was undertaken over this area but did not identify any features

Full Description

{1} An area of Saxon pottery was found. A chequer pattern of 2m squares was opened up over the area and, apart from further pottery, some pressed into the sub-soil, no structural features were found. Pottery possibly from a single vessel and only broadly dated to the middle Saxon period.
