Full Description

{1} This ruined dovecote stands in the grounds of 'Greystones'- the site of the former manor house. It is a rectangular building of local limestone and ironsone and measures 20ft by 26ft. The walls are 3ft thick. The Collyweston roof was demolished about 40 years ago but the small stone mullioned window still remains in the south-east wall. In the south-west wall there is an old 9but not original) wooden door. The nesting boxes are of stone (each roww being alternate left and right) and c400 still remain. The building is thought to be 17th century; photographs;
