Full Description

{1} Trial trench excavation identified a small pit feature which yielded two sherds of green glazed pottery dating to between the 12-14th century. No evidence of the medieval hospital was found, although it is entirely possible that the pit which is dated to between the 12-14th century AD could be associated with it, perhaps lying
on the periphery of the hospital location. However, much of the site was very disturbed and truncated.
