Full Description

{1} Trial trench excavation at the site of the new King's Cliffe Primary School found that the historic use of the landscape was limited. Four ditches were identified, of which only one contained any dateable finds, comprising two fragments of 13th to 14th century Lyveden/Stanion 'B' ware. Animal bone was also recovered.
{2} One medieval ditch and three shallow undated ditches were identified during a trial trench evaluation.
