Full Description
{1} Building recording survey was undertaken prior to conversion of the barn. It is built from roughly coursed limestone with some sandstone quoins and a red pantile roof. It is orientated roughly north-west to south-east and is 19.5m x 7m externally and of five bays. The principal entrances are opposed full-height doors in the central bay. Other door openings are later. Additions comprise a stone bay abutting the barn's north end, a mid-19th century pig sty at the south end and a mid-20th century privy on the west side.
Graffiti in the barn records 'George Gascoyne killed by lightning July 1st 1914' and 'Fire at Wadenhoe House Feb 19 1924'.
