Full Description

{1} Building recording survey was undertaken prior to conversion of the stables. It is built of coursed limestone with a slate roof set on a roof frame of fairly lightweight machine-sawn timbers with angle braces to meet the purlins off the tie-beams. It is 23m x 5.3m externally, is aligned east-west and is located immediately to the east of the dovecote. There are indications that the stable block was converted from an earlier building, possibly an animal shelter
