Full Description

{1} SP 88826363, a ditch was revealed in the temporary quarry side. It was at least 4.5m wide and 0.60m deep and cut from close to the top of the subsoil. Undated

Several other small pits, hollows and a gully were also observed but could not unfortunately be recorded in detail. All features appeared to be located on the slightly raised ground of a river terrace. The sterile sandy silt fills were similar to fills of known prehistoric features recorded elsewhere in the valley though they are otherwise undated.
