Summary
A 17th century house with a 19th century extension situated on the northern side of West Street, just to the west of the Cross Keys Public House. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with stone dressings and a double pitch Welsh slate roof with a brick gable chimney stack. The south facing elevation has a two window range of three light casements to the upper floor and a central door flanked by similar three light casement windows. The extension was constructed during the 19th century as a reading room. The building abuts the western side of the main house and has a higher roof line. A brick end stack is located on the eastern gable which rises above the roof apex of the main building. The reading room has a blocked door to the ground floor left with two large three light casement window to the right. All the openings in the extension have cambered arches. Abutting the south eastern corner of the main build is a chamfered gate pier with a stone head. A second gate pier is attached to the Cross Keys providing access to the public house car park.

Full Description
{1} No 6; originally class 4a (house with one stack at gable end entered in the middle of a long wall), 17th century; raised to two storeys in the 19th century and later extended to the side;
