Summary

A row of two early 19th century houses situated on the northern side of Mill Street. The row has been constructed of coursed rubble with a shared double pitch stone slate roof with chimney stacks at the ridge and at the western gable end. The eastern house seems to have been built first with a house extension to the west. The eastern house has a two window range of two light casements to the first floor right. The ground floor has a blocked central window with a blocked door to the far left and a blocked door and window under a shared lintel on the far right. The western house has a symmetrical three window front above a central door that is flanked by two blocked windows with timber lintels.

Full Description

{1} Two-storey early 19th-century house, probably of class 4a extended by one room on west. Further to the west is a mid 19th-century class 4c house.

{2} A row of two early 19th century houses. The row has been constructed of coursed rubble with a shared double pitch stone slate roof with chimney stacks at the ridge and at the western gable end. The eastern house seems to have been built first with a house extension to the west. The eastern house has a two window range of two light casements to the first floor right. The ground floor has a blocked central window with a blocked door to the far left and a blocked door and window under a shared lintel on the far right. The western house has a symmetrical three window front above a central door that is flanked by two blocked windows with timber lintels. The building file of November 1976 shows a derelict building. Satellite images suggest that this building has been restored and is back in use as a dwelling.
