Summary

A 17th century house known as Crownfield Cottage is situated on the northern side of Church Lane at its junction with Todds Hill. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a double pitch clay tile roof with raised gable parapets and a lateral chimney stack at the rear. It is single story with an attic range lit by two gabled dormer windows on the southern facade. The facade facing Church Lane has a two window range of three light ovolo moulded stone mullion windows with a central door. Evidence of a blocked second door can be seen between the door and the left window.
