Summary

A school building built in 1817 and converted to a youth club during the 20th century. The building is located on the northern side of Gretton Road, at the top of a track that leads north from the road. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a double pitch Welsh slate roof with a brick chimney stack on the ridge and a second on the south facing slope. The windows to the gables are casements with glazing bars under segmental heads and the windows along the walls are similar with flat heads with wooden lintels.

Full Description

{1} Former School was built in 1817 (Christ Church College, Oxford, MS Estates 58: 1860 questionnaire) by Mr. Tryon with a grant of £50 from the School Building Society (Whellan, 801). It comprises a single room with side and end windows. Welsh slate roof.
