Summary

A 17th century house with a 19th century extension is located on the eastern side of the road in Shotley, east of Harringworth. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a double pitch thatch roof with two brick chimney stacks ether side of the centre bay. The entrance facade has an irregular range of casement windows to both floors with a wagon entrance to the left side and a flat roofed entrance porch to the far right. The northern end was rebuilt during the mid 20th century.

Full Description

{1} Pear Tree Cottage, two storeys, thatched roof, consists of a long range, of which the north end has been recently rebuilt. The central room with a first-floor ovolo-moulded single-light window is 17th-century. The south room is early 19th century.
