Summary

A post medieval barn located to the north of The Old Rectory, on the south side of, and running parallel to, West Street. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and freestone with a double pitch slate roof with a stone chimney stack at the eastern end. The main south facing elevation has two pitching holes in the upper central wall above two flat arched entrance doors. To the left of the entrance doors is a stable door under a wooden lintel and to the right is a wagon entrance under a segmental headed arch. On the right of the wagon entrance is a two light casement window. Above the wagon entrance is a hipped dormer window with a three light leaded casement. The building was converted into a dwelling in the mid 19th century.

{1} An early 19th-century barn, now No. 23, once used as a cottage;

{2} The site of a post medieval barn. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and freestone with a double pitch slate roof with a stone chimney stack at the eastern end. The main south facing elevation has two pitching holes in the upper central wall above two flat arched entrance doors. To the left of the entrance doors is a stable door under a wooden lintel and to the right is a wagon entrance under a segmental headed arch.
