Full Description
{1} Partial fieldwalking and metal detecting survey by CLASP in 2009 produced 1st to 4th century Roman pottery sherds and 3rd/4th century AD coins. A geophysical survey of c 5.5ha was undertaken in 2016. A range of geophysical anomalies appear to suggest multiple phases of occupation. A large ovoid boundary is probably one of the earliest features which is overlain by rectilinear enclosures. At the centre of the site, the geophysical anomalies may indicate the presence of structural remains.
