Full Description
{1} Geophysical survey was undertaken in 2016 along the western side of Watling Street to attempt to define the southern limits of the Bananventa agricultural hinterland. Two areas were surveyed; in the northern area a series of rectilinear enclosures defined probable property or field boundaries of Roman date, but no definite archaeological features were observed in the southern area suggesting the southern boundary had been identified.
