Full Description

{1} Building survey was undertaken of buildings on the former gasworks site prior to demolition. A single-storey building building of red brick and slate roof, built around 1893-4 as one of the first buildings on the site. Original function unknown, but in use as a fitters' shop and garage by 1959. Further buildings adjoining it to the east were demolished between 1900 and 1958 and the area covered by a large warehouse after 1970.
