Full Description
{2} Archaeological evaluation undertaken in 2017 uncovered a deep, irregularly-shaped waterlogged feature which may be a pond or palaeochannel containing waterlogged round wood. The feature shows up on the geophysics as a poorly defined roughly circular area. No dating evidence or artefacts were recovered from the fill and the feature is not shown on early maps. This could be a sign that the feature is early and potentially contain environmental information from the Holocene period.
