Summary

Formerly known as James Walding shoe factory. Seven-bay former boot and shoe of three storeys over a basement with a three-storey house on the north end. The 1882 OS map shows the house and factory conjoined. The Victoria Street elevation of the factory is of pier-and-panel construction.

Full Description

{1} Seven-bay former boot and shoe factory of three storeys over a basement, is on the east side of Victoria Road. At its north end is a three-story house with its principal elevation on Wellingborough Road (No 70). The 1882 OS map shows the house and factory conjoined. This is confirmed by the continuation of the dentilled eaves cornice across the Victoria Street elevation of both the house and factory.
