Full Description

{1} A watching brief undertaken in 1992 during building works to the south-west of the The Chantry. Below modern make-up levels archaeological features including drains, surfaces and possibly at least one pit and wall, survive. Late medieval pottery is associated with some of the features recorded. Earlier medieval (c13th century) activity is suggested by the presence of a small amount of unstratified pottery.
