Full Description

{1} Bronze bowl engraved on the inside with a scene in the centre and four scenes around the edge, each with angel filling space between. Each scene is framed by an inscription which identify them as the Story of the Wisdom of Solomon. Found during dredging operations on the River Nene near Fotheringhay in 1981. Acquired by the British Museum in 1982.
