1883 Peter Bradshaw, aged 77 years, advertising for 'a miller of all work'. This is the last reference to the mill.
John Harris's 1712 map marks it Hullock Mill, 1772 Enclosure award names it White Mills, as does Bryant's 1827 map and the 1841 tithe map.
The mill-race and bypass channel make an island of the mill site. The area of this sees to have been diminished as a result of flood prevention works. The road is carried past the tail pond, of a considerable size, on a causeway supported by a stone wall on its east side. Water still flows through the arches that once took the water from the tail-race and bypass channel. Despite the work on flood prevention, there is the possibility that some evidence of this mill may remain underground.
