1202-72 Mention of a mill at Denford during the reign of Henry III
1537 Mention of a mill at Denford
c1613 Petition from the Mayor et of Northampton to the Earl of Salesburye to make the River Nene navigable gives the distance from Denford Mill to Thrapston (Mill?) as 276 poles.
1712 Shown on John Harris's map in Morton's 'Natural History of Northamptonshire'.
c1760 Mill not shown on plan of River Nen from Thrapston to Northampton for proposed navigation.
The location is uncertain because the mill seems to have gone by the late 18th century. Some evidence suggests it was at the north-east end of the village just upstream of the bend bringing the water channel (latterly the leat for Thrapston Mill) alongside Thrpaston Road.
