Full Description
{1} In 1867, whilst digging foundations for a vinery adjoining The Elms, Towcester, workmen found a quantity of Romano-British pottery and redware [Samian]. One fragment of the latter has the potter's mark apparently SOIILL.M. When the house was built there were no reports of other finds.
