Summary

The faint cropmarks of possible Iron Age settlement enclosures can be seen on aerial photographs. At least two enclosures can be identified and other linear cropmarks may be contemporary boundary ditches.

Full Description

{1} The faint cropmarks of possible Iron Age settlement enclosures can be seen on HE reconnaissance aerial photographs taken on 8th August 2013. At least two enclosures can be identified at SP 4677 5233, one square, the other more irregular in shape. Other linear cropmarks may be contemporary boundary ditches. Two run parallel to each other and may define a route way. These features are immediately to the east of another group of Iron Age enclosure and field boundaries mapped during the Northamptonshire NMP project and centred on SP 4656 5227 (HER No 1496).
