{1} 9 Gold Street is a late 19th century or early 20th century building of red brick with horizontal bands of stone inset with square terracotta decorative tiles at both ground floor and first floor level.
There is also a decorative band above the doorway and the window above, which are located in a gable that projects slightly forward of the main elevation. The gable has decorative barge boards and a terracotta finial. There is also a string course of smaller terracotta tiles between the ground and first floors.
