Full Description

{1} At Spratton, a pair of typical cob cottages virtually in their original state [in 1964], each with two rooms on the ground floor ad two bedrooms above. Fireplaces on end walls. Cob construction appears to have been most popular in the county during the 18th and early 19th centuries.

{2} The two cottages were lined in 1964/5. The lead Fire Insurance plaque is not the original one for the house.

{4} Photo taken during renovations- blocking up doorway of left hand cottage to form window. Shows brick infill.
