Monument record 1296/1/8 - Dispersed Site 6, Chelveston Airfield

The Second World War dispersed Site 6 for RAF Chelveston was visible on historical aerial photographs. It was originally the accommodation quarters for the airmen working at the airfield prior to the USAAF taking over in 1942. No buildings remain extant and the site has been returned to agricultural land.

{1-3} The Second World War dispersed Site 6 for RAF Chelveston was visible on historical aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. Site 6 is centred at SP 99787 67176 and was originally the accommodation quarters for the airmen working at the airfield prior to the USAAF taking over in 1942. No buildings remain extant and the site has been returned to agricultural land.
