Monument record 1296/1/10 - Dispersed Site 10, Chelveston Airfield

The Second World War dispersed Site 10 for RAF Chelveston was visible on historical aerial photographs. They were originally the accommodation quarters for the airmen working at the airfield prior to the USAAF taking over in 1942. No buildings remain extant, and the site has been returned to agricultural land.

{1-3} The Second World War dispersed Site 10 for RAF Chelveston was visible on historical aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. Site 10 is centred at SP 98730 67538 and were originally the accommodation quarters for the airmen working at the airfield prior to the USAAF taking over in 1942. No buildings remain extant, and the site has been returned to agricultural land.
