Monument record 1296/1/12 - Dispersed Site 7, Chelveston Airfield

The Second World War dispersed Site 7 for RAF Chelveston was visible on historical aerial photographs and shown on the 1944 RAF Chelveston Record Site Plan. It was originally the accommodation quarters for the airmen working at the airfield prior to the USAAF taking over in 1942. No buildings remain extant and the site is now overgrown with dense vegetation.

{1-3} The Second World War dispersed Site 7 for RAF Chelveston was visible on historical aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP Project. It is also marked on the 1944 RAF Chelveston Record Site Plan. Site 7 is centred at SP 99530 66578 and was originally the accommodation quarters for the airmen working at the airfield prior to the USAAF taking over in 1942. No buildings remain extant and the site is now overgrown with dense vegetation.
