Full Description

{1} The remains of three 'channel-hearths' and a possible furnace were found 50m south of Site 4. The features were placed almost end to end. Burnt areas noted during topsoil removal almost certainly indicate the positions of other ironworking features not cut deeply enough into the subsoil to survive.
