Full Description
{1} A small complex of brick buildings. At the western end is a single storey block with concrete slab roof and squat tower which was constructed as part of Oundle's Civil Defence Structure in 1938/9 as a gas decontamination centre. The bricks are laid in 'English Cross Bond'. The building provided facilities including an undressing area, shower and eye douche, drying space and dressing room. To the east is a long single storey block with corrugated iron roof which would have been used for various adminstrative functions associated with the civil defence.
