Summary

Medieval pottery kiln, part of the Stanion pottery industry, was identified during construction on a house extension at 25, High Street in 1978. The kiln was indicated by finds of pottery including wasters. Most of the pottery comprised coarse green-glazed jugs and would have been produced sometime between the mid 12th century and the mid 14th century. The finds were given to Northampton Museum accession number D.174.1979.
