Full Description

{1} Survey carried out on the possible deserted hamlet of Walcot, Fotheringhay.

[2} Walcot Lodge was Walecote in 1261 [Assize Rolls] which derives from 'cottage of the serfs or of the Welsh'. The former alternative seems the most likely.
