Summary

Boot upper and legging manufacturer's workshop that is located on the east side of Victoria Road. A long, narrow brick built workshop interposed amongst terraced houses. Documentary evidence and comparison of successive editions of the Ordnance Survey show that the workshop was built in the 1880s and extended - with the engraved legend [ Burkitt & Son / Boot Upper & Legging Manufacturers] in the gable during 1924. In business until at least 1940.
