Built in 1900 by Alexander Anderson or Charles Dorman [sources disagree]. Used as a chapel and school rooms for ten years until the money was raised to build the church, thereafter used as school rooms. Modernised in c1992. Locally listed building.

{1} The school is by C Dorman, 1900
{2} Alexander Anderson's work in Northampton includes…the Edwardian Baroque-Queen Anne style Abington Avenue Congregational Church hall and school rooms (c1900).
{3} The plot of land in Abington Avenue was purchased for £1000 and the schoolrooms were built for £3500 and were used for ten years as a chapel and Sunday School until sufficient money was raised to build the adjacent church.
