Summary

The outbuildings of a late 17th century house situated on the eastern side of Church Street including an abattoir that was in use from 1933. The abattoir was constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitched Collyweston slate roof. It was located in the corner of an L plan range and retained a full height carrage door. The abattoir was demolished after April 1976.

Full Description

{1} The outbuildings of a late 17th century house including a post medieval abattoir. The abattoir was constructed of squared coursed limestone with a double pitched Collyweston Slate roof. It was located in the corner of an L plan range and retained a full height carrage door that had been half blocked with breeze blocks. The abattoir and range can be seen in a photograph from April 1976 but the abattoir has since been demolished.
